ALPHA Arts
The ALPHA Arts program is CCSD's gifted and talented arts program. Selection for this program is based on nomination and selection by screening and audition for music students or portfolio adjudication for art students. Nomination forms are given in the fall to students in grades 3-12, and screening and auditions/portfolio adjudications happen in the spring. Students who are identified as GT in the arts are invited to participate in ALPHA Arts.

After-School ALPHA
Throughout the school year, ALPHA students participate in workshops designed to deepen their knowledge in an arts area, provide rigor and specialized instruction. Currently, After-School ALPHA Arts is offered through Google Classroom. Students can sign up to participate in After-School ALPHA workshops throughout the year, work at their own pace, and choose workshops based on their preferences and interests.
SUMMER ALPHA
Summer ALPHA is a 2-week program happening in June for students identified as GT in the arts. These students have passed the screening and audition/portfolio process and have been accepted into ALPHA Arts. There is no cost for students to attend the summer ALPHA program and students are provided with breakfast and lunch. During the summer ALPHA program, students across the district meet at Chesterfield-Ruby Middle School to work with instructors to deepen their knowledge, develop their artistic skills, and work together to put on a showcase of musical performances and art displays at the end of the program. The Summer ALPHA program hours are 8:00-12:45, Monday-Thursday with a showcase for parents and community members occurring on the last day of the program.
