In the Spotlight this week:
Congratulations to sophomore Alex Gaston of Cheraw High for creating the book cover of “His Virtuous Bride,” a novel by Emma Geneva. Alex was commissioned by the author at the end of last year to design the cover and has now been commissioned to design the covers for the rest of the series. Chesterfield County Schools ALPHA Arts is a Gifted and Talented Program for visual arts, band, and chorus. Students who show interest in one of these art forms, spend time pursuing it, or can express feeling in/through it, may be nominated for the ALPHA Arts Program. Following a screening and audition process, students may participate in the program for the rest of their time in CCSD schools.

The All-County Arts Festival is a yearly festival for our most talented students who show an interest and aptitude in the arts. This 2-day festival features workshops for elementary through high school students in visual art, band, and chorus.
